Mine Rescue is a discipline of emergency response that has to do with helping people on their worst day underground. I am on a collegiate mine rescue competition team, which trains students at CSM to compete in in first aid, underground rescue, gas technician, and bench events. We are not a response team. I love the underground and first aid competitions, because I get to problem solve in real time under pressure. Colorado School of Mines Mine Rescue Team
